To offer advice to those who in doubt is a work of spiritual mercy that has been widely attested since the origins of Christianity, and it also shows the intellectual, wisdom dimension of the discipleship of Jesus and the exercise of charity. It is not a technique to learn, a sort of persuasive ability, but is essentially tied to knowledge and to a spiritual path. This article presents some its essential features which show the current and urgent nature of this work for our time.
